Workshop Session B
Join Philipp Leberer from the Town of Banff and Grace Gillman from the Biosphere Institute for an insightful exploration of the "High Performance Buildings in Mountain Communities" project, funded by the Code Accelerator Fund. This workshop will delve into the findings of this Town of Banff-led initiative, focusing on the barriers to constructing higher-performing buildings in the Bow Valley. We will also share the work of our local multi-stakeholder group and present recommendations to enhance building performance in our unique mountain environment.
Philipp Leberer
Philipp Leberer is the Energy Coordinator at the Town of Banff where he is leading the decarbonization of the corporate building portfolio and assists residents and businesses to do the same by developing programs and policy. Grace Gillman is the Shift: Climate Transitions Program Lead at the Biosphere Institute where she helps residents and visitors take meaningful action on climate change. Previously coworkers at the Town of Banff, Philipp and Grace are now collaborating on this project to cover the different aspects of high performance buildings.
