Bow Valley Construction Costs at Higher ABC/NECB Tiers - An Archetype Study
2:00pm - 2:45pm
Workshop Session C
WSP will present results of its 2025 study that modeled strategies and costs for achieving higher energy performance tiers under ABC/NECB 2022 and the upcoming 2025 model codes for four common Bow Valley building archetypes. These archetypes includes 1) a standalone garage w/accessory dwelling, 2) a townhome fourplex, 3) a three-storey apartment building, and 4) a three storey mixed used building. This workshop will review energy modeling results for multiple tiers under each archetype, and sensitivity analysis for several variables affecting energy performance and construction costs.
