Moving from Energy Efficient Buildings to High Performance Buildings

3:00pm - 3:45pm

Workshop Session D

Transitioning from simply reducing energy in the built environment to building high performance buildings with a building science based rationale. Building a new stock of buildings that will last for centuries and outperform any Code built home. With expanding knowledge in the field of building science, we can push the 'envelope' and include such parameters as dry-ability, and durability, as well increasing occupant comfort, wildfire resilience and reducing our carbon footprint in both operational and embodied carbon footprints. The future home is now.
